Elías Campo is Professor of Pathology and Senior Consultant at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, University of Barcelona. His research focuses on the molecular and genetic characterisation of lymphoid neoplasms. In the last years his work has concentrated on elucidating the genomic and functional alterations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, mantle cell lymphoma, and other aggressive lymphomas, their role in the pathogenesis of these diseases and their impact in the clinical management of patients. He has been co-director of the Spanish CLL genome project in the International Cancer Genome Consortium. He is member of the USA National Academy of Medicine since 2018.
